YMCA Camp Minikani’s Enviromental Education Program is a hands-on, experiential learning opportunity designed to envelop students in the natural world. Spanning 150 acres of diverse landscapes, including forests, wetlands, prairies, and a scenic lake, our programing provides an engaging and interactive way for students to explore environmental science, teamwork, and personal growth. Our objectives are simple:
- Provide students the tools to develop critical thinking skills
- Teach lessons to enhance the Wisconsin curriculum
- Empower youth leadership and cultivate interpersonal skills
- Strengthen and make new social connections with peers and teachers
Give your students the gift of discovery, where learning comes to life in the great outdoors!

Our environmental education programs are designed to inspire curiosity and a love for the natural world while meeting age-appropriate learning goals set by the Wisconsin DPI.* Whether your students are examining real skulls and furs to learn about Wisconsin’s native wildlife, wading into the water to uncover hidden aquatic creatures, or trekking through our towering pine forest to uncover the secrets of teamwork, our lessons bring science to life!
Schools can also take advantage of our overnight options and enjoy professional food service, campfires, and night hikes!
Come explore, learn, and make lasting memories with us!
*The DPI Standards outline what students should know, how they demonstrate learning, and the level of performance expected.
