action-packed summer
Our variety of Day Camps will ensure your child a summer that parallels your own fond memories playing outside as a kid. Through creative and engaging outdoor activities, your child will explore, play and socialize with their group in a safe environment made for kids. Your child’s counselors were once campers at Minikani, and they will help your camper navigate many fun and sometimes unfamiliar activities. Throughout these experiences, your child will be safe, supported and inspired by their counselor. In turn, the Day Camp experience will ask that they:
- Be a kind member of their group
- Follow a daily schedule and engage in group activities
- Maneuver rustic, sometimes steep natural surroundings while supervised
- Be reasonably responsible for personal care, health and safety
- Participate in songs and cheers that build a strong sense of community
- Contribute positively to the community of Minikani
Traditional Day Camp
Ages 7-12
Monday through Friday
7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Our traditional day program is designed to introduce your camper to new friends and experiences that build their confidence. Throughout the week, your camper will set their own goals with the help of their counselor. On a day-to-day schedule, they will participate in skills of their choice and creative games and activities designed by their counselor. Day campers may participate in an optional extended stay on Wednesday, which is included in the program cost.
Day Camp skill options include:
• Adventure Challenge – Rock wall & high ropes course
• Crafts – Arts and crafts
• Waterfront – Swimming and boating
• Gun & Run – BB rifles (8 years or older), air rifle (10 years or older), disc golf and archery
• Wilderness Skills Area – Fishing and nature
Day campers will be allowed to choose skills based on availability after overnight campers sign up, therefore we recommend Day Campers think of many skills they are interested in taking.
